Why is it important?

This research questions the notion of return as homecoming and reframes return migration through a multiscalar understanding of home

Perspectives

It was a great learning experience to write this article with Paolo Boccagni as we engaged in detailed conversations about the shifting temporalities and spatialities of return migration and shared reflections of our joined fieldwork with Ecuadorian migrants in Europe and their families back in Ecuador.
