What is it about?
It remains unclear how climate change will affect the survival of oceanic Pacific salmon. This study reviews some independent lines of evidence of warming climate impacts on salmon productivity: long-term change in SST, and growth, population dynamics and survival rate of salmon.

Why is it important?
The finding and conclusion are essentially important and useful for sustainable conservation management of salmon in response to climate change.
Perspectives
I hope this article makes to establish sustainable conservation management of Pacific salmon based on a back-casting approach under a changing climate regime, including (1) conservation and wise-use, (2) long-term monitoring system of aquatic ecosystems and (3) restoration and resilience of wild salmon and river ecosystems.
