What is it about?
For the first time, an animal model of human granulomatous disorders such as leprosy has been produced
Why is it important?
It will lead to a diagnostic test for leprosy and eventually for tuberculosis and help to elucidate the mechanism of inflammation in sarcoidosis, Crohn's disease and multiple sclerosis
