Does bed-sharing improve breastfeeding duration?

Why is it important?

Mother-baby bed-sharing is associated with increased sudden infant death, which led to recommendations to avoid bed-sharing. However mothers still do it, and generally their babies don't die, so we need to understand who bed-shares and why, in order to balance the risks with the benefits.
