What is it about?
The fields of Black Geographies and Black Internationalism can be broadly said to operate at two different scales. In general terms, Black Geographies work tends to focus on small-scale acts of place-making whereas Black Internationalist studies has a focus on the global and international connections and flows. Using the example of a radical Black Power newspaper in Jamaica I suggest these two fields and scales should be seen as interrelated. Black Power actors in Jamaica connected these two scales through their political activism.
