Here we tested the Resource Ratio Hypothesis by using preliminary data on the assemblages of three groups of ground-dwelling arthropods.

Why is it important?

We show that changes in seasons are associated with changes in the assemblages of these ground-dwelling arthropods, which can be linked to the seasonal availability of resources. In addition, this work suggests that temperature differences do not play a significant role in influencing the variation in the assemblages of these ground-dwelling arthropods between summer and winter.

Perspectives

This work provides relevant baseline information because little is known about the assemblage composition of ground-dwelling arthropods in mesic savannah landscapes in different seasons.
