What is it about?

Staphylococcus aureus which are resistant to methicillin (antibiotic) are generally regarded as "MRSA". Presence of MRSA in almost all the environments has been detected. We checked the presence of MRSA in fish samples. We also studied the list of antibiotics which these MRSA are resistant to.

Why is it important?

Our study observed the presence of MRSA in fish samples. We also found that these MRSA isolates are pathogenic to humans. Thus, consuming these fishes (carrying MRSA) without proper cooking can lead to health complications.

Perspectives

Whole-genome sequencing is an emerging research area. During the preparation of this article, I could explore more about whole-genome sequencing, extracting the data out of a genome, and importantly, how to present this data. I am sure, reading this article would be an interesting one as this manuscript is being prepared by me, the person who has had no prior experience to this subject topic. Thus, this article has been prepared in basic English, avoiding complicated terminologies.
