Patients admitted to hospital for alcohol withdrawal are at high nutritional risk. The purpose of this review was to review the scientific literature and report on the nutritional interventions and health outcomes achieved in this patient population.

Perspectives
I hope this article provides useful insight into the role of nutritional interventions in this patient population, yet also highlight where future research may be needed.
