What is it about?
This article documents and analyses the development of inclusive education in the UAE through investigating the journey of three primary schools as they implement the inclusive initiative requirements following the country's ratification of the UNCRPD regarding equity in education for all.

Why is it important?
This study contributes to the evidence-based research on inclusion in the UAE with some emphasis on Islamic principles, cultural beliefs and the requirements of United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability (UN 2006) in promoting every child’s right to an education.
