What is it about?

Small impedance sensors are combined together to form a biological camera of bacterial cells, where each pixel is able to sense as few as 7 bacterial cells.

Why is it important?

This is the first time that such a pixel array is proposed for whole-cell bacteria detection. The co-integration of the 256 sensors with CMOS technology is also demonstrated.
