What is it about?
This paper proposed a triangular shaped microstrip patch antenna with excellent compactness for vehicular applications. The space filling property of Fern Fractal is used to decrease the antenna size. This property is used to reduce the size of the patch with the help of Fern fractal design and it is excited with electromagnetic coupling as well as capacitor coupling. This antenna can be used for blind spot detection of a vehicle at 5.88 GHz of DSRC band (IEEE 802.11p).
