New contributors in open-source software struggle to find a task to start without whether or not they have the skill set to finish it.

Why is it important?
New contributors are crucial to open-source software projects. However, many get frustrated and give up contributing because they fail to pick a task they have the skills to solve.
Perspectives
We show the approach is viable in this experimental research. Future research will extend and improve the proposed method.
