What is it about?
Mobile relaying is gaining significant momentum. We have shown for the first time its real performance in live cellular networks. This paper demonstrates that mobile relaying can help overcoming some limitations of traditional single-hop cellular networks.

Why is it important?
The conducted field tests demonstrate the capability of mobile relaying to increase the cell coverage area, the user perceived QoS at the cell edge, under NLOS conditions, in the cell overlay area, and in indoor environments, and to reduce energy consumption.
