What is it about?
As AI tools become more common in research, it's important to use them responsibly. We've created two tools to help: (1) a model focusing on transparency, integrity, and accountability in AI use and (2) "AI Usage Cards" - a standard way for researchers to report how they used AI. These tools help researchers use AI ethically and make it easier to track AI use across different studies. We've also created a free online tool for making AI Usage Cards. Our goal is to encourage responsible AI use in all areas of scientific research.
