What is it about?

A gate that can be programmed by software to act like any logical gate. Can be used in a FPGA hardware like a matrix array of these gates that can do hardware simulation of a circuit or chip like an artificial neural network. Currently existing FPGA use memory array and software level rendering not hardware level rendering.

Why is it important?

It can be used to make versatile chip that can act like any chip through software programming. But it is faster than FPGA because it do hardware rendering through arrays of gates not array flash memory that is used in current FPGA. Since memory is made of more than one gate, this versatile gate can make cheaper and faster versatile electronic chips.
