What is it about?
Transformer inrush current is created after transformer energization. When there is a transformer in parallel or in series with the already energized transformer, another type of inrush current is created. This type of Inrush Current is called Sympathetic Inrush Current. Here, a new model is used and impact of different factors on Sympathetic Inrush Current is investigated.

Why is it important?
Sympathetic Inrush Current can cause transformer protection mal-operation. So, Transformer Sympathetic Inrush Current analysis is very important.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also leads to a great involvement in different types of transformer inrush current and transformer protection.
