What is it about?

In a process, input variables have a direct effect on the output. However, quite often there is no model linking the inputs to the output. So, when the output is required to be within a specific range, only trial and error works for setting the inputs. The method described in this paper uses process data to find the values of the inputs that would lead to the output being in the required range.
