What is it about?

Speech inversion is the method for the tongue movement assessment from the audio or (and) video data during pronunciation of speech sounds. The simple method for accomplishing speech inversion from audio data by dynamic time warping (DTW) is presented in the paper.

Why is it important?

Tongue movement assessment during pronunciation is crucial issue from the point of view of the speech disorder diagnosis. Speech inversion is non-invasive however not precise method for making such a diagnosis. Therefore the main aim of the speech inversion research is to find as accurate speech inversion method as possible.

Perspectives

This is my first work on speech inversion. I am going to carry out experiments with larger dataset and to compare DTW speech inversion method with HMM one.
