Why is it important?

The results of this study could be used by business managers to inform their choice of selecting marketing partners or supply chain providers, as well as for scaling down operations in a potentially risky area.

Perspectives

This study addressed the literature gap, identified by other researchers, that there are too few examples of applied empirical big data analytics. The authors used a global terrorism big data sample that was over 64 MB in size and contained 125,087 records with 133 fields amounting to 16,636, 571 data points.
