What is it about?
This study examines how emerging technologies and modern software development practices, such as Agile methodology, DevOps, and Machine Learning, are transforming software engineering. Using survey data, statistical analysis with SPSS, and qualitative interviews, the research found that Agile significantly reduces software development time, DevOps improves collaboration and deployment efficiency, and Machine Learning enhances error detection and predictive maintenance. The findings suggest that organizations adopting these technologies can improve software quality, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation while meeting changing customer and industry demands.

Perspectives
As an author, I believe software engineering is entering a transformative era driven by Agile methodologies, DevOps, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. While these technologies offer significant improvements in software quality, development speed, and innovation, their successful implementation depends on continuous learning, organisational support, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Conducting this research strengthened my understanding of how modern software engineering practices can address real-world development challenges. I hope this study encourages researchers and industry professionals to adopt evidence-based approaches that enhance productivity, software reliability, and sustainable technological innovation. Future research should also explore the ethical, security, and human aspects of AI-assisted software development.
