What is it about?
This paper is about designing process of full state feedback controller for PMSM servo-drive fed by sinusoidal voltage source inverter. Sinusoidal voltage source inverter is used in order to reduce electromagnetic torque ripple of PMSM and, in consequence to increase positioning precision of servo-drive.

Why is it important?
The most significant thing is that only one controller (without cascade control structure) was used to provide: sinusoidal output voltage of inverter, good positioning precision of PMSM as well as zero direct current control strategy of PMSM. Linear-quadratic optimization method has been applied to calculate proper coefficients of designed controller.
