What is it about?
In many semi-arid regions, building durable roads is difficult because high-quality local materials are scarce. Our research shows that using desert dune sand combined with industrial by-products can improve the strength and durability of gravel roads. This method offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for road construction, helping communities build better infrastructure using materials that are easy to find locally.
