What is it about?

Using field trips to increase the effectiveness of academic programs in tourism management is increasing in popularity. The main purpose of this paper is to contribute to this discourse by surveying the motivations and perceived learning outcomes of a distinctive educational experience at two different times. A number of implications are identified not only for tourism education but also destination management.
