What is it about?

It is an empirical study on Indian Quality Award winners, that attempts to aid in a preliminary way, the temporal selection and adoption of Quality initiatives. Due to a huge number of Quality initiatives that have emerged around the world, in the last few decades, and owing to huge similarities among them, selecting a few among them at the right time through the continuous improvement journey of organizations is a challenge. This study attempts to address this problem and presents some priliminary solutions.

Why is it important?

Proper choice of Quality Initiatives, at right time, can help organizations save valuable resources and help in ensuring top management commitment to the quality initiatives, given the increasing disenchantment about them, as observed by many researchers and practitioners in the recent past.

Perspectives

The outcomes of this research are preliminary in nature. Additional work with larger data is necessary before generalization.
