Why is it important?

Much is known about High Reliability Organisations and their teams and their organisational mindfulness. Not much is known about 1] what may cause organisational mindfulness (mindful infrastructure), and 2] if it can be applied to innovation management settings. The article is innovative in that perspective. Moreover, it uses the Qualitative Comparative Analysis technique, which is also still rather novel today. This QCA technique helps when the number of cases in the data set is modest.
