What is it about?

Organizations are increasingly transforming their teams into “agile teams” with the aim to increase their performance. Yet, there is limited empirical evidence for the benefits of the agile way of working in other functional domains than the Information Technology domain it originated from. In this article, we show that the agile way of working is positively associated with team performance and team engagement for teams in various functional domains. Moreover, we illustrate that working agile is associated with increased levels of psychological safety climate, which in turn was related with more team performance and team engagement.
