Eroski is the largest autonomous coop of Mondragon Corporation. It is one of the world’s largest integrated cooperative networks. There is no other equivalent cooperative structure of its size that has survived the globalization process. The group has been the subject of multiple studies on its history, culture, and evolving structure, but the source of Eroski's competitive advantages lies in a combination of various intangible factors, such as values-driven, share leadership and high-performance work practices that need to be explored at the granular level.
