Elementary school teacher candidates’ perceptions on defining and integrating civic literacy

What is it about?

Civic moments, which can be taught informally throughout the day and the curriculum, allow students to step into the role of “citizen” right now, instead of “in the future.” We found that teacher candidates lack knowledge and skills to integrate civic literacy into the curriculum.
