Why is it important?

Differences in national and organisational culture creates difficulties for collaboration. There is no right or wrong culture. Awareness of differences improve understanding. Collaboration becomes smooth. Differences can even be an advantage when handled in a correct manner.

Perspectives

When national and organisational culture is similar people seem to be happy in their workplace and produce better. Assessment of divergence in cultural and organisational issues is of utmost importance for global transaction which usually take place within virtual teams in multinational organisations, outsourcing relationships, joint ventures etc.
