Why is it important?

Employees demand user experiences that help them accomplish tasks and engage with HR in a frictionless way -- the same way they interact with the social networks and other Web sites away from work.

Perspectives

I've had both good and bad experiences using the technology provided by HR and other departments in the course of my career. This was a chance to provide some advice to employers for ensuring a consistent, positive experience for their employees.
