Why is it important?
Egypt is challenged by the need to provide adequate housing that is adapting to the socio-economic needs of the society. The inability to respond to current and future needs of housing, encouraged the unprecedented expansion of informal housing; which does not abide by any building codes or regulations. Thus, adding burden to the already ailing infrastructure.
