The present study aims to assess the enrollment scenario of Library and Information Science (LIS) education across different states in India.

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. It emerged that of the 36 states and union territories in India, LIS education is being imparted across 32 states and union territories, accounting for nearly 90% states of the country.
