What is it about?

E-resources provision is a costly venture for most developing states. We demonstrated a comparative analysis of these resources between two universities sharing similar yet unique characteristics. This paper examined possibilities for collaboration given institutional funding and culture.

Why is it important?

Sometimes institutions need to think of the bigger picture and focus perhaps on how student and country are affected at the expense of personal egos and grandstanding. Our paper sort to highlight what could be possible if mindsets are different.

Perspectives

This article was not only a proposed collaboration of institutions, it also resulted in a collaboration of spirits. As librarians from two competing universities, we endeavored to envision what was more valuable, equitable and necessary for our users in the end.
