What is it about?

In this paper we discuss information sources for the discipline of remote sensing. We also discuss it's importance and use in teaching upper division students information literacy concepts.

Why is it important?

Students working as professionals in remote sensing will need continuous learning to stay abreast of their study area. Basic to finding information is the understanding of how remotes sending information is created and the various vehicles for the information.

Perspectives

As a librarian, I am knowledgeable about many content types in many disciplines. Since I have been teaching remote sensing students how to do research for a number of years, it is important that I understand the information milieu for remote sensing.
