What is it about?
Although 3D printing is “hot”, trendy and surrounded by loads of hype we don’t really understand how good (or bad) 3D printed parts can perform under demanding real-use scenarios. So we decided to investigate different standard ways of measuring an important performance characteristic such as fatigue resistance. What we found was actually revealing: the fatigue levels we observe are not that far from conventional injection moulded parts, but of course this is the beginning of our work.
