What is it about?
This study analyzes the process capability of selective laser sintering (SLS) for fabricating porous bone scaffolds from Polyamide-12 (PA2200). Sixty specimens were printed using recycled and virgin powder on an EOSINT P395, with and without printer calibration. Dimensional measurements were taken via CMM. Post-calibration, Cp and Cpk values improved, tolerance grades tightened, and wider specification limits further enhanced capability. In vitro studies confirmed PA2200's biocompatibility, supporting its application in 3D tissue engineering.
