What is it about?
The study identifies the extant studies on the internationalization of mobile telecommunications, with the aim of mapping them systematically according to the "Antecedents-Phenomenon-Consequences" thematic arrangement. The "Antecedents" theme identifies the studies that discussed the drivers of internationalization of mobile telecoms, the "Phenomenon" theme showcases those extant studies highlighting the process of internationalization of mobile, as do the "Consequences" theme comprise those works focusing on the outcome of internationalization on the performance of the mobile operator.

Why is it important?
The importance of the study derives from the growing importance of mobile telecoms in the global economy, as well as from the need to identify and thematically categorize the extant works in the domain.
Perspectives
I strongly believe that the thematic categorization of the previous studies is necessary, as it potentially guides future research by clearly identifying the theme within which to locate each piece.
