Why is it important?
It shows the importance of English today, the role that English education plays in economic development of nations and how they build human capital and global competitiveness.
Perspectives
As a multilingual myself, I want to emphasize how students learning English become multilingual speakers and how they contribute to building multilingual communities. Hence, the perspective here is to show how English is part of multilingual education and co-exists alongside of other local or national languages around the world.
