Why is it important?
Ageing workforces are widespread in most Western countries. Negative views about older workers are dominant and as such more work needs to be undertaken to understand how does this segment of the workforce cope with age threats in the workplace.
Perspectives
Negative age stereotypes cannot be neglected as their detrimental effects are well documented. This article aims to trigger discussions in organizations about the consequences of ageist views in the workplace.
