What is it about?

Having a proactive personality may increase or decrease employee’s retention intention based on different underlying motivations. We test this proposition by exploring the high-performing human resource practice (HPHRP) in the organization, employees’ work engagement, and employee’s proactive personality. We found that having a proactive personality can increase employee’s retention intention through their positive feelings towards the organization, which is reflected in their work engagement.
