The upward rise of the prolonged payback period and the inability of the project to generate estimated income that has been linked with the irregular rent payments. As a result of this cofoundng challenge,this paper examines the effectiveness of rent recovery strategies.

Why is it important?
The study identified the five recovery strategies adopted by the estate surveying and valuation firms in Ibadan Metropolis, Nigeria. The findings revealed the perceived top-rated strategies that could influence estimated incomes and factors that influence the choice of strategy.
Perspectives
This is a novel research because it gives empirical insight into the effective rent recovery strategies in the real estate practice. It is a great pleasure as it has co-authors with renowned researchers in the real estate field of study.
