Law enforcement personnel: systematic review of the impact of prevention programs following exposure to work-related trauma

What is it about?

Law enforcement personnel are often exposed to critical incidents and are at risk of post-traumatic psychopathologies. Effective prevention strategies are therefore important to ensure law enforcement officers can continue to discharge their responsibilities. However, our review found indicated there is a lack of evidence for the efficacy of extant prevention programs and that further research is needed in this important area.
