Analysis of balanced scorecard usage by private companies

What is it about?

Factors related to the use of the balanced scorecard is examined. We find that foreign ownership and a focus on global market are significantly and consistently related to the extent to which the balanced scorecard is utilised across management control purposes. We also find some evidence of associations between other sophisticated management accounting practices and the extent to which the balanced scorecard is utilised for management control purposes.
