Why is it important?

This paper is important as it explores a new form of pedagogy for work integrated learning from the TAFE context.

Perspectives

The aim of this paper was to show how two courses in the TAFE higher education context were developed with an implicit focus on the development of professional identity for students. This type of identity formation was not limited to specific classes but was embedded across the whole course. The work of Erica McWilliam is integral to this process.
