What is it about?

While white rice is palatable, it is also highly disadvantageous. This research introduces a novel konjac-based rice formula (KR) incorporating glucomannan and tapioca starch to improve post-meal glycemic response. In a clinical trial, substituting white rice with KR significantly reduced post-meal blood sugar levels and glycemic response, suggesting that KR has the potential to prevent type 2 diabetes, emphasizing glucomannan's impact on glycemic control, satiety, and gut health.
