What is it about?

Up until recently, it has been difficult for members of groups that are marginalised to always notice when they experience small acts of exclusion or devaluing in daily life. This paper looks at the experiences of women with physical disabilities, mental health peer support workers, and members of racial groups. I describe some distressing daily encounters which can at first appear minor, but which may affect the wellbeing of members of a marginalised group. I also look at some things we can do when this happens to us or someone else.
