Why is it important?
Rapidly changing life styles coupled with urbanization, industrial growth and population expansion in developing countries like India necessitates the adaption of sustainable strategy for utilizing the components of the solid waste.
Perspectives
This article was mainly aimed at inculcating in the students about the importance of the sustainability in waste management. Adaption of these practices reduces the negative carbon foot print on environment and enhances the resource conservation. The paper was mainly targeted towards the policy makers regarding the need for adaptation of such strategies.
