Democracy and financial transparency of local governments in Sub-Saharan Africa

What is it about?

Contrary to the view that Africans are socialized on the notion of secrecy thereby making transparency a rhetoric, we show that democratization of the continent has the potency to stimulate more transparency in local governments in Sub-Saharan Africa.
