Why is it important?

While many studies have looked at various aspects of e-book usage in higher education, this study is unique in that it looks at a highly tech-savvy population (library and information science graduate students) who use e-books obtained outside their institution, which did not carry any at the time of the study. The results offer useful advice for best practices in introducing an e-book program in academic institutions as well as information on usage practices of a tech-savvy student group.
