What is it about?
Implicit leadership theory (ILT) to understand the expectations of followers of leaders; the closer the leader's traits and behaviors match the followers' expectations, the more effective the leader is. But are there leadership traits and behaviors that are more suited to managing organizational change? By applying ILT to managing organizational change, we answer this question.

Why is it important?
There have been many studies and models on implicit leadership theory; this study breaks ground by applying ILT to the specific context of leading and managing organizational change. We found that the context of managing organizational change requires a different set of leadership traits and behaviors.
Perspectives
Conducting the research for this article, and extracting knowledge from it, was fulfilling for us, in terms of increasing both scientific understanding of leadership and the practical aspects of managing change.
